Erasmus +

What is Erasmus+ Programme?

Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work. The seven year programme has a budget of €14.7 billion; a 40% increase compared to current spending levels, reflecting the EU's commitment to investing in these areas.Erasmus+ will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad.
Erasmus+ will support transnational partnerships among Education, Training, and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe. It will also support national efforts to modernise Education, Training, and Youth systems. In the field of Sport, there will be support for grassroots projects and cross-border challenges such as combating match-fixing, doping, violence and racism.

Erasmus+ Programme contains 3 Key Actions:
  • Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals
  • Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices
  • Key Action 3: Support for Policy Reform

Our project is a part of Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals. The aim of Key Action 1 is mobility opportunities for young people and youth workers. Young people have the opportunity to participate in youth-exchanges or to volunteer for a period up to one year in another country. Youth workers can take part in training and networking activities abroad or spend some time in a youth organisation abroad for a job shadowing or an observation period.

In Key Action 1 there are again 3 groups of service:
  • Youth Exchanges
  • European Voluntary Service
  • Mobility of youth workers

Our project is about youth workers’ training and networking so it is a part of Mobility of youth workers. This activity supports the professional development of youth workers, through the implementation of activities such as transnational/international seminars, training courses, contact-making events, study visits, etc. or job shadowing/observation periods abroad in an organisation active in the youth field. All these activities are arranged by the organisations participating in the project. The participation of youth workers in such activities contributes to capacity building of their organisation. The learning outcomes should be further disseminated.
